Tarpon tournament season is here and now is the perfect time to reflect on the wonder that is Florida Bay. The habitat and fishery draws the best anglers in the world to Islamorada every year to compete to chase down tarpon during their famous migration.
While all of the tournaments are legendary, Florida Bay Forever is proud to be the new conservation partner for the Ladies Tarpon Fly Tournament. As an organization founded and directed by women who are passionate about the habitat, the fishery, and the estuary that is Florida Bay, there is no better tournament to partner with than the premiere ladies fly tournament in pursuit of the silver king in Islamorada.
As conservation partner, this year’s online auction proceeds will directly benefit Florida Bay Forever. This year’s proceeds will go to support The Voices of the Florida Bay Project: Volume II, which will highlight the stories of early tournament winners and their guides.
