Lodge your Opinion on the EAA Reservoir
The South Florida Water Managment District will host a meeting on October 26 at 9:00am to discuss the Everglades Agricultural Area Water Storage Reservoir.
As posted on their website:
"The SFWMD presentation to the public will:
- define the purpose and need for the southern reservoir,
- highlight the project's schedule,
- as well as solicit feedback from interested parties and stakeholders.
These meetings are part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The NEPA process provides opportunity for the public to give input related to the EAA Water Storage Reservoir project. "
The meeting will be held at District Headquarters - B-1 Auditorium, 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406 at 9:00am.
If you would like to provide comment, but cannot attend these meetings you can still submit feedback online by emailing EAAreservoir@sfwmd.gov or through handwritten correspondence to:

Florida Bay Forever will make the run to the meeting and will report back. With Lake Okeechobee levels at above 17', billions of gallons of water are being dumped into the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie - which is a repeat of actions we saw last year.
As we find ourselves in the position to 'pray' for a dry season, it is clear we need to press on for expedient action.
